I have always been a big advocate of the power of staging a home! Sometime it is difficult to get my point across to clients who already are spending lots of money to sell their current home. Money is tight and staging is not always a first priority. I believe it should be! Getting that home sold one month earlier due to the staging actually saves the seller money in the end. (one less month of that mortgage) I feel because I educate my clients I’m able to sell my homes faster and get top value because I work with motivated clients who give their all in selling their house. I have a great network of stagers that I work with and they are able to work with my clients to find the right “package” for the home being listed. Presenting the home online is where I think staging is key. There are so many homes available to view, that your home has to stand out!

Getting the showings is the first step in working towards a sale! I Just recently had clients who, like everyone else, get in a hurry and want their home listed yesterday! I explained to them the importance of having one shot at a first impression. They took my advice and spent the few extra hundred dollars having the staging company come in and had them do their magic. This home was listed on a Monday and my clients were presented with an amazing offer on Saturday of the same week. By Sunday evening they could go to bed knowing there home was sold. In speaking with the buyers agent she said that staging the home made all the difference in the world. They viewed it earlier that week as a work in progress and when they came back for the second showing they couldn’t believe the transformation.

So in conclusion: If you are ever considering moving please consult a stager. Many times they can use the items in the home and arrange furniture and accessories in a way in which you would never imagine. Or they are so great they will bring in anything and everything you may need to help sell the home.

It may not be the avenue everyone wants to take, but I am a firm believer that staging helps a home sell!
